Many of the parents I speak to wonder if working with a coach is the right solution for them or their teens.
Counseling (or therapy) has been the traditional means of looking for a deeper understanding of our thought patterns, beliefs, and habits for many years.
Coaching is a relatively new option that is now available worldwide and has grown tremendously. The International Coaching Federation states that "between 2015 and 2019, the number of professional coaches worldwide increased by 33% globally and 33% in North America."
But who are these coaches? What is their training? Does insurance cover coaching? When and for whom is coaching a good option? How do you know if you are getting a Life Coach with good training and a background that will ensure that you get what you need?
Hilary Philips is has a master's degree in Professional Counseling and more than 15 years experience as a psychotherapist. She has created an online coaching program that can be found here - www.alignandconnect.com. We met through a business coaching group and became fast friends.
We have different educational backgrounds and may serve different communities, but we have one important thing in common:
We are passionate (and even frantic sometimes!) about helping people become their best selves.
In this podcast interview, Hilary will provide an enlightening and unique perspective as to who could benefit from counseling and who could benefit from coaching, and how to know which service to choose.
